Rocky Horror Lipstick – $17.50 Each
Sin (Matte), Strange Journey (Matte) & Oblivion (Amplified Creme) (Missing – FrankNFurter)
The lipsticks were no doubt the most highly sought after item in this collection. I am so thankful to have 3 of them to share with you! Sin is part of the permanent line, so if you happened to miss it in the RH packaging, you can still snag it on the site!
Sin : Deep Dark Blue Red (Matte)
Strange Journey : Yellowish Brick Red (Matte)
Oblivion : Vivid Blush Red (Amplified Creme)
All 3 of these shades are STUNNING! I was actually unsure about Strange Journey, but I am kind of digging the color! It’s definitely something I don’t have enough of in my lipstick collection.
All 3 applied well and were loaded with pigmentation. Sin is going to be the PERFECT Fall lip shade! I was also surprised at how much Oblivion pulled pink on me. Because 2 of them are matte, I recommend exfoliating and putting a lip balm on your lips before applying.
Rocky Horror Sculpt & Shape Powder – $27.50
Definitely one of my favorite items is the sculpt & shape powder. I love how huge this compact is (It’s the same size as a Mineralized Skin Finish).
One side contains Emphasize and the other Bone Beige. Emphasize is a pro powder I have had my eye on for awhile now, so I am thrilled to see it combined with Bone Beige in RH packaging. I love using these pro powders to set my under eye concealer and to use as a subtle highlight. Both powders were SO finely milled and soft.
Rocky Horror Blush – Crazed Imagination – $24
Crazed Imagination is a sheer tone shimmer blush and is described as a muted plum with a hint of pink pearl. What a perfect Fall blush! The color is absolutely beautiful on the cheeks (I’m wearing it today!) Because it’s a sheer tone shimmer, you can build up the color pretty nicely or just sweep a little bit on the cheek. This is going to look amazing with Sin on the lips!
Rocky Horror Riff Raff Eyeshadow Palette – $44
The Riff-Raff eyeshadow palette is one of the few things to be available on the MAC site. I actually saved this for last because it was my least favorite item. I LOVE MAC shadows, but I find when they come in palettes like this, the quality just is not up to par.
This palette contains 6 beautiful shades ranging in finishes.
Oh, Rocky! – Soft Muted White With Pearl (Veluxe Pearl)
Crystal – Violet Duochrome with Pearl (Frost)
Heavy, Black & Pendulous – Grayish blue with Pearl (Frost)
Graphic Style – Deep Silver (Veluxe Pearl)
Blackberry – Muted Burgundy Plum with Brown (Matte)
Carbon Black – Intense Black (Matte)
I think the major issue for me was these shades felt SO dry. The two lighter shades at the top, Oh, Rocky! & Crystal definitely performed the best as they were smooth and easy to work with.
Blackberry was very dry and patchy on the skin. I haven’t had the chance to wear this on my eyes yet, but I’m hoping it performs better.
Carbon is described as an intense matte black, but the color pay off was far from it. I found using this as a liner worked better than using it as an eyeshadow.
Overall, I think this was a really unique and great idea for a collaboration! The lipsticks are stunning and I am definitely going to get a ton of use out of the blush and sculpting duo!
Were you able to pick up any of these items? Which ones?
