This Summer, it’s about to get a little smoky! Releasing on July 8th, is the brand new Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette. Gracing our presence with 12 beautiful shades ranging in finishes, it’s safe to say everyone is going absolutely CRAZY over this palette!
Naked Smoky comes in a sturdy plastic translucent brown packaging and has the most beautiful smoke print on the cover.
Inside there is a full size mirror, 12 eyeshadows and a brand new dual sided brush.
I love that they switched up the brush for this palette. On one side is a large fluffy blending brush and on the other side is a nice short pencil brush. Perfect for creating depth and really getting a precise application!
Inside the palette you will find a really great mix of shades and finishes. I LOVE that they categorized them. The first four are all shimmery sheen shades with slight glitter, the next 4 are satin shades with no added glitters and the last group are all mattes. There are NINE brand new, never before seen shades and 4 re-promotes from various palettes.
High – Champagne Shimmer with micro-glitter (New)
DirtySweet – Medium Bronze (New)
Radar – Metallic Taupe with micro-glitter (Vice 2)
Armor – Metallic Silver taupe with sparkle (Vice)
Slanted – Light metallic grey (New)
Dagger – Medium charcoal with microshimmer (New)
Black Market – Jet Black Satin (Vice)
Smolder – Deep Purple / Taupe (New)
Password – Cool Taupe matte (New)
Whiskey – Rich Brown matte (New)
Combust – Soft Pink matte (New)
Thirteen – Light Beige matte (New)
To be quite honest with you, this palette is everything. The range of shades is on point and you can create SO much more than a smoky eye with this palette! I have been rocking the first 4 shades on their own and I am in LOVE! They were all so buttery and pigmented and easy to blend.
I do wish that Smolder was a little more purple and a little less grey toned, but it is what it is and I still love it! Black Market was as black as night and so incredibly smooth. The packaging is one of their best yet and I hope they will continue to use this style. The magnetic closure feature is fantastic.
