So earlier this morning on Facebook, I told you guys I was going to try something new out where you can email me at chatwithLFL@gmail.com with your nail, makeup, personal questions ect and I’ll answer them all in a blog post! I have three great questions from JC!
Question 1. How do you keep your nails healthy with so much off/on of nail polish and remover? Mine break easily and can never grow long with just once a week polish changes.
Answer – I’ll be totally honest – I don’t have the best nails! They tend to break easily during the cold months so I have to do a lot of moisturizing! I also use cuticle butter regularly (I use Body By Mersado) and every couple of days I use Nail-Aid Hardener & Growth Treatment. This really helps my nails to grow fast and stay healthy!
Question 2. Building on the first question, any recommendations for base coat, strengthener, etc. to help keep nails healthy as they grow out?
Answer – For my base coat, I have been switching back and forth between OPI Base Coat & HK Girl Stuck On Blu. Both work great! And as stated above, I use Nail Aid products for strengthener & growth. They are so affordable and you can find them at your local Wal-Mart. And for top coats, I love HKGirl, Essie Good To Go & Cult Nails Wicked Fast.
Question 3. Do you ever use up any of your polish, or do you give them away before they get “bad”? I think I have only used up one color before that I can’t get in any other brand.
Answer – The only polish I have ever finished is OPI I’m Not Really A Waitress. Because I have so many polishes in my collection, I tend to give away A LOT. I give some to my family, friends, college sororities & local women’s shelters. It’s a great way to destash and share your love of polish with other ladies!
Thank you SO much JC for sending in your questions! Have anything you want to ask? Be sure to send me an email at ChatWithLFL@gmail.com and I will pick a few questions and answer them on Tuesdays! Have a great rest of your day & be sure to check out my Illamasqua post I did earlier this morning HERE
